Our Co-op program provides high school students with the opportunity to gain
meaningful work experience. Eligible candidates participate in their high
school’s co-op program and have traditionally completed their junior year. Our
co-ops take on administrative and task-related responsibilities in their
respective departments which gives them the opportunity to:
• experience hands-on learning
• test-drive career options
• see the relevance of their classroom learning
• develop the essential skills and habits required in the workplace
• gain valuable work experience to help build a resume for post-secondary
programs and future employment
To qualify, students:
• are at least 17 years of age
• are recommended by a teacher
• are dependable, honest and demonstrate good work ethics
• have maintained a 90% attendance record during junior year
• can maintain a grade average of C or better throughout the co-op
program
• participate in a high school business program with availability to work 1:30
p.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday-Friday
• can work at least 15 hours per week
